Brick Brewery Posts Solid Q1 Financials – Guess its not all about the Craft

Brick Brewery, makers of Laker, Red Baron, and Waterloo brands of beer, and Ontario’s largest Canadian owned brewery, announced their Q1 financial results this week and they are off to a strong start. Goes to show that despite the craft boom, there’s still room for growth in the value beer market as well. Yep, apparently the LCBO sales are up and they’ve increased net profit by $0.5 million and doubled their EBITDA.

And Laker may have gone up in price, but the stuff’s still cheap. Of course, you probably can’t drink more than three without getting a hangover. Nonetheless, its nice to know you can get some cheap beer from a Canadian owned Ontario company (Well Canadian owned TSX listed…so Canadian controlled…so like at least 20%).

Press release here.
